Process water treatment
Process water safety during inspections
View future health department inspections with peace of mind. The hydrophysical water treatment technology of the VA-Hydro effectively removes microorganisms
from your piping system, keeps water hygienically stable, and prevents recontamination.
Environmentally friendly and effective, the VA-Hydro removes legionella and biofilms from water supply systems.
Do you have problems with biofilms, smelly process water, uncontrolled bacterial growth, legionella, algae and fungi in your systems? And previous attempts at solutions using UV disinfection,
biocides, ultrasound, ozonization and thermal treatment have not had any effect?
Then simply use the sustainable power of nature!
With our VA-Hydro, developed and manufactured in Germany, you permanently destroy bacteria, algae and fungi in your systems.
Ensure safety with the VA-Hydro and drastically reduce your company's process water treatment costs.
NO CHEMICALS - NO ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION
Legionella in hot water pipes is a serious problem for property owners, property managers, landlords and hotel operators because it can multiply quickly, especially in old pipes and due
to energy savings. The VA-Hydro reduces bacterial colonies in hot water in a proven, safe and energy-efficient manner.
With the use of the VA-Hydro, cooling lubricants can be subjected to a better cleaning process, which greatly reduces the build-up of organic contamination. Cooling lubricants therefore
remain stable for longer, hardly form any biofilm and can therefore be reused more frequently.
Biological contamination in cooling installations is prevented by the hydrophysically treated water from the VA-Hydro. Biofilms in the pipelines are broken down and subsequent algae and
algae and biofilm growth is prevented. Your cleaning effort is reduced, and you save costs for biocides.
The VA-Hydro gives you the security and prevention of a legionella-free hot water supply in wet and shower areas. In the event of seasonal shutdowns or during a specific case, such as the
Corona pandemic, there is no legionella risk in unused mains or pipes, thanks to the VA-Hydro.
The treated, soft water of VA-Hydro improves washing and cleaning performance of industrial applications of all kinds. Organic contaminations and odour formations are effectively
eliminated. Cleaning costs and the use of detergents can be significantly reduced, and the service life of alkaline solutions, cooling lubricant emulsions and cleaning baths can be
Irrigation systems and ornamental fountains
In irrigation systems and ornamental fountains, the VA-Hydro reduces unsightly algae infestation. In addition, it prevents encrustations and odour problems caused by bacteria and moulds.
New infestation due to organic contamination no longer occurs thanks to the hygienically stable water from the VA-Hydro. Additionally your cleaning effort is significantly reduced since
only treated water flows through the piping system.
Fire fighting water tanks and sprinkler systems
Fire fighting water tanks and sprinkler systems mostly use external water supplies, which may contain microorganisms such as Legionella. The treated water of VA-Hydro frees the pipes of
sprinkler systems from these microorganisms. In addition, faster and deeper absorption into fire sources is made possible due to the reduced surface tension of the treated water.
Benefits at a glance
Permanent protection against legionella, algae, yeasts, etc.
Operational safety during inspections by the health department
Significant reduction/elimination of detergents
Substantial reduction/elimination of biocides (chemicals)
Elimination of foul odours in the water system
Use in existing (even non-contaminated) water systems
Preventive use in new installations
Extremely high energy cost savings due to lower operating temperatures
No moving parts, no additional monitoring
Low service costs
Low maintenance required
Available capacity range from 0.1 m3/h to 51 m3/h
The VA-Hydro ensures operational sanitary safety without biocide (chemical)
use, only through hydrophysical functionality when used in process water installations and circulation pipes.
Application sample of the VA-HYDRO
Symbolic illustration in a cooling water system
The heart of the VA-Hydro is similar to a cyclone. In the chamber, water is extremely accelerated so that very high flow and cavitation forces are generated, which mechanically destroy bacteria.
2. Collection Tank
The VA-Hydro is integrated into existing water circuits for cooling water or hot water circulations. If this is not possible, a separate treatment circuit must be created via a collection tank.
3. Pressure boosting
A high-pressure pump feeds water into the reaction chamber of the VA-Hydro to make optimum use of the hydrophysical water treatment effect.
4. Cooling tower
The VA-Hydro keeps process water in cooling towers and heat exchangers free of microbiological contamination and hygienically stable. Existing infestation and insulating biofilm coatings are
successively broken down, lowering your operating costs and reducing your maintenance effort.
5. LEGIONELLa colonies
One effect of hydrophysical water treatment with the VA-Hydro is reducing the surface tension of the water by up to 40 %. The water infiltrates and dissolves biofilm deposits (which contain
legionella colonies) to destroy them in the reactor chamber after that.
Without the addition of chemicals, the cell walls of, for example, legionella, are broken down in the water. The microbiological matter is mechanically destroyed. Oxygen dissolved in the water
subsequently oxidizes the mechanically destroyed cell material.
7. Branch lines
Due to a lack of flushing processes, unused pipes and branch lines are an ideal breeding ground for legionella. Such branch lines can also be flushed with the VA-Hydro to remove legionella.
Requirements and certification
All valves and seals used in the VA-Hydro are approved for drinking water and comply with the DVGW (German Gas and Water Association) requirements according
to DVGW W 270. Since there are no moving parts in the VA-Hydro, and it only works with the shear forces known from nature (cavitation principle), no lubricants or preservatives are used.
The VA-Hydro system does not endanger or impair drinking water, according to German DIN EN 1717. Thus the application of the VA-Hydro corresponds to category 1 according to DIN EN 1717
