The term osmosis describes the process of concentration equalization of two liquids through a selectively permeable membrane. It results in an unequal amount
of water on either side of the membrane. This process occurs in nature and all living beings.
During drinking water treatment, this process of concentration equalization is used in the opposite way to produce pure drinking water.
GreenOsmo® – Further development of reverse osmosis
During the development of our GreenOsmo® Technology, VISION AQUA primarily focused on four factors.
GreenOsmo® stands for outstanding drinking water quality, with remarkably high efficiency, low water consumption and high production volume.
Our GreenOsmo® Technology currently achieves an energy efficiency of 1.3 watts per litre of ultra-pure water obtained. The ultra-pure water to
wastewater ratio is 1: 0.8, meaning that you only require 1.8 litres of raw water for one litre of the purest drinking water. The integrated rinsing water recovery system also
ensures that part of the rinsing water is returned to the filtration process, saving a significant amount of raw water.
The sophisticated rinsing and control process developed by VISION AQUA increases drinking water production by approx. 30% and reduces energy
consumption by approx. 50%, when compared to conventional systems.
